I saw this photo online- Jessica Alba carries this bag- it looks like a Birkin, but somehow different. Is it a real Birkin? If so, what year was it made? If not, who makes it? Thanks for your help. I love your blog. Joey.

Thanks for writing. Jessica Alba's bag is not a Birkin. It is a Polo Ralph Lauren Ricky Bag (Below). It is very easy to get confused with HERMES Birkin bags. Janet Jackson carried one to the Ralph Lauren 2010 Fashion Show. The media also called it a "Birkin" bag.
It really has a similar design. The straps are going vertical not horizontal. The buckle and the Clochette are also different.
