My Birkin Blog doesn't usually write articles as writing is not my specialty. I love to post photos. A photo is worth a thousand words. However, today I want to write an article to share this:

This morning I posted an article that spots Lindsay Lohan carrying her 40 CM orange Birkin Bag in NYC yesterday. These photos remind me some of the very first article of this blog in 2008. Lindsay carried this bag in NYC and had it stolen at the Heathrow Airport. That was when people started to ask what Birkin Bags were and how to get them. Back then I decided to start this blog to find people who also love the Birkins and wanted to know more about them.

Lindsay still carries the exact bag in 2013 as yesterday. The bag still looks fabulous 5 years later. The color still looks amazing (Thanks HERMES). The leather shows no scratches. The hardware in Palaldium is still shiny. Just the corners show a bit worn. 

I can't remember any handbags that still look so good after 5 years (Some not even one year). I believe Lindsay can carry it for another 5 years. 

I had my first Birkin in 40 CM Black from 2003. I am still carrying it today. People stop me on the streets and asked how I got it all the time. Birkin bag is the only one!

I am on vacation in the city where my hotel has an HERMES store. I purchased a few things at the HERMES store immediately after I checked in. I told the store that I was going out so if they could send my purchases back to my hotel room.

After I came back to my hotel room, my purchases have arrived with a gift- an HERMES origami animal in Crocodile. It is the most beautiful toy! It has a green body and orange lining. The leather is in Chevre (Lamb). It is a flat piece with 3 sets of snaps to make the crocodile 3-D. 

I love my new toy!

My Birkin Blog Says: The Birkin Arlequin

This year, HERMES starts making the Birkin Arlequin, AKA 6 color Birkin. To be honest with you, My Birkin Blog didn't like it when I first saw the photos online. 

However, when I learned that the design of the bags was inspired by this painting- Picasso's Paul en Arlequin, I started to like it more. The design has a French humorous way to look at things.

The Arlequin comes two combinations: Sanguine/Orange (Top), and the Ultra Violet/Blue Lin (Bottom). HERMES also makes them in Kelly bags as well.

My Birkin Blog is a huge fan of the 40 CM Birkins. My first Birkin was a 40 in black Togo leather and I am still using it. Now I have a couple of them for traveling- car trips or flies. I think it is very stylishly elegant carrying a large Birkin bag showing up at the airport (Plus a pair of super large sunglasses). Every girl has a star dream including myself. I never wanted a wheel thing which makes a tourist.

My Birkin Blog never had trouble getting them. They are too big for most girls so 40 CM Birkins are always the less demanded size to get. Recently I saw a 40 in white on TV and suddenly wanted one so I called the local HERMS store. The SA I have been dealing with told me that 40 CM Birkins are in high demand now and my order might take a bit longer than usual.

My Birkin Blog is aware that more people carry 40 CM Birkins now.

For a while, I have tried to like these Birkin bags with different color trim and handles. Even though I am a world's biggest Birkin Bag fan and have made a commitment to create a blog for them, I have to say no to these bags. I know some people might find them very creative and attractive, but I just can't love them.

Can someone tell me why you like them? Or don't like them?
